I used to love this song, belonging to an 80s era where everything was Disco Dancer like and people discovered the keyboard effects and endlessly played with in the film songs as well, this one and a few others were beautiful exceptions. Fact that the composer is Lakshmikant Pyarelal was a bit of a surprise for me. On Anand Bakshi's lyrics, this is a complex piece which requires a bit of a breath inn before recording. Originally sung by Lata Mangeshkar, I guess the song was pretty popular at those times. In my recent program in London it seems to have had touch a good string on the audience.
