This is one of her lost albums of 1978 as customers from once wrote: Top Customer Reviews 5.0… out of 5 starsSensational By Joe Kuether on August 26, 2013 Format: Vinyl Verified Purchase Still rockin' today, Cindy is the kind of artist who would sing and play to any size audience at almost any given time. All the music here is catchy and creative. Not sure if this was her debut album, but I sure overlooked it big time and very happy to have it now. The surprise was that it's only available on vinyl, but hey, this child of the 70s isn't without his turntable either. She could Jam alongside Chuck Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis, and she's a real house of fire in her own right. A must ! Comment Was this review helpful to you? Yes No Report abuse 5.0 out of 5 starsA much overlooked rock album By D. Steiner on May 16, 2013 Format: Vinyl Verified Purchase Only nine songs and 36 minutes, a little skinny, but what's there, as Spencer Tracy would say, "Is cherce." Not a clinker among them, just great 70s rock and roll with unnamed but fine band backup. Unfortunately it's hard to come by other than on used vinyl. Bullens has promised it on CD and digital but it has yet to show up as of May 2013. Still well worth looking for when it becomes available. Comment One person found this helpful. How about it Cidny??? Comment Was this review helpful to you? Yes No Report abuse 5.0 out of 5 starsHidden Diamond By R. D. Ross on January 7, 2011 Format: MP3 Music This is Cindy Bullens' first solo album from 1978. She started as a back-up singer for Elton John and toured with him several times. She then was featured on the Grease soundtrack performing several songs that won her an Grammy nomination. Desire Wire is an album that reflects many of her Grease roots as a singer/songwriter and a soulful rock icon. This collection of songs has more hooks than a fisherman's cap. There are several hard rockin' tunes, i.e. Survivor, High School History, and Finally Rockin' most noticeably. The other songs are slower but are real heart-string tuggers, i.e. Desire Wire, Knee Deep In Love. This album gained her another Grammy nomination. Her next two albums echoed the feel of Desire Wire and were released in 1981 and 1986, both are great, if you can find them. Neither has been issued on CD to my knowledge. Her albums after that are more folk than rock and her new group, The Refugees, while very good, are just not my style. If you like rock from the late seventies, pick up this hidden diamond for your enjoyment! Comment 4 people found this helpful. Was this review helpful to you?
