The Credentials of the Messiah

Genesis 3:15 God speaking to the serpent "And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel."

Isaiah 7:14 (9:25) "Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel".
The Messiah must be born of a virgin

Isaiah 9:6 "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace".

Isaiah 9:7 "Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this".
The Messiah must be of the family of King David, of the tribe of Judah, of the nation of Israel

Micah 5:2 "But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from of old, from ancient days".
The Messiah must be born in Bethlehem and have pre-existed before He was born

Matthew 1:1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
Luke 3:23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli, (tracing back to Adam).
Luke 3:38 Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.

The Messiah must be born of a virgin from the family of King David from the tribe of Judah, be born in Bethlehem in Israel

The Messiah must be born before 70AD when the Temple with genealogy records were destroyed

Isaiah 53:3-12 He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

Isaiah 53:5-6 But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Isaiah 53:11 "After the suffering of his soul he will see light and be satisfied by his knowledge. The righteous one, my servant, will make many righteous, and he will bear their iniquities".

2 Corinthians 5:21 "God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God".

The Messiah must be born of a virgin from the family of King David from the tribe of Judah, be born in Bethlehem in Israel, born before 70AD, suffered and rejected for the sins of others, rise from the dead to ensure the forgiveness of sins.

John 14:1-6 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.” Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
