Year,s last pair of uploads if I do not upload any on Rajesh Khanna birthday on 29th Dec.
First one is a bengali to hindi translated song. It has inspiration from jazz music which you will recognise as soon as the bgm starts. A very good blending with indian modern song. Just for this touch of jazz I wanted to share this with you. Every time I listen, the bgm attracts me. Another beautiful song of KKji is also there in this movie which is a very good candidate for Father's day song which I wish to cover later.

The second song is a continuity of mood from this song, MERA JEEVAN KORA KAGAZ. []

Song: Phire alo na ar se chole gelo je
Music: Kanu Bhattacharya
Lyrics: Pulak Banerjee
Film: Bouma (1986)
Singer: Kishore Kumar

Original Kishore Kumar bangla song:

Lyrics translation:

(Hun) lout ke aayi nahi aur wo, chali gaya jo
[She never came back who went away]
jayegi kabhi mai socha vi nahi
[I never thought that she would go]
wo mujhe dukh degi kaise manu - laut ke
[How shall I guess that she would give me sorrow]

sab rang mita ke baAaAaadala asmaan mein chaye
[Rain cloud has spread all over the sky erasing all colors]
judai ke dhun aa kar shine mein dil machalaye
[Tune of seperation twisted my mind]
udas ek man le kar wo na soche
ye dard mere liye kitna zalim - lout ke
[With an indifferent mind she never thought
how terrible is this blow for me]
dristi deepak par kabhi agar wo mil jaye
[If I ever find her within my sight]
kahunga chupke se laut kar aao, ye-hi man chaye
[I shall tell her stealthily to come back]
mere pran mein swapna ka aag jala ke
[Igniting fire of dream in my mind]
farar hua tha wo, chala gaya smriti ko jaga ke
[she absconded, leaving her memory with me]
kiun mujhe kabhi wo samjha nahi
pyar ham ussi ko kitna kiya - laut ke
[Why she never understood, how much I loved her?]
